The Ohio-class guided missile submarine USS Florida (SSGN 728) arrived in the Bay of Naples for a regularly scheduled visit August 4, 2023. While in Naples, USS Florida conducted a brief logistics stop and hosted distinguished visitors for a tour, further strengthening the U.S. and Italian partnership. USS Florida last visited the Bay of Naples in March 2023. "We are honored to host distinguished visitors aboard USS Florida while she is in Napoli to conduct a logistics stop," said Rear Adm.
