    From Pickerington, Ohio, CDR Kyle Oliver Kendall graduated from Ohio State University in 2009 with a double major in History and International Studies, minor in Chinese, and a commission from the NROTC program. Kyle also completed two Chinese study abroad programs while an undergrad. As a LT, he graduated in 2015 with distinction from the Navy Postgraduate School with a Masters in National Security Affairs with a focus on Europe and Eurasia, where he also completed his JPME Phase I.
