Q1:      Is there a local military news provider?
A:         American Forces Network Rota provides radio and television programming from the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. The Coastline newspaper is a weekly publication produced by the Public Affairs Office for personnel assigned to NAVSTA Rota.

Q2:      Is there a PAO office located aboard the Naval Station?
A:         Yes. The Public Affairs Office is located in command Building 1.

Q3:      What is AFN?
A:         American Forces Network Rota provides radio and television programming from the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. General broadcast radio operates 24 hours a day and features Naval Station information, local DJ shows, most music formats, news, sporting events and talk shows.  The frequency is stereo FM 102.5.  They also control the base information channel.
