5. Action.

b. All military personnel or government employees attending a CREDO retreat require either an approved special request chit or “No Cost” TAD orders issued by their command. It should be noted that CREDO programs are currently funded by CNO (N097) with messing and berthing provided. CREDO Europe retreats are treated as any other training opportunity in that personnel desiring to attend will not be required to use leave to do so. Orders are not required for non-military personnel. All personnel attending a CREDO retreat must have a current military/DoD identification card in their possession.

c. CREDO programs are currently offered to Naples area commands at no cost. Contracts with local retreat sites require cancellation to be completed seven days prior to commencement of the retreat. CREDO pays for the number of personnel confirmed. When persons already confirmed for a retreat cancel with less than seven days from commencement of the retreat, or fail to show at all, CREDO must attempt to fill vacancies with personnel in a “standby” status. When this is not possible, funds are wasted.
