Mission
AFN Rota is the Navy-operated American Forces Radio and Television Service station that provides host command and military information, local and world news, sports and entertainment programming for all military and DoD personnel (and their families) assigned to Naval Station, Rota, Spain.

The detachment is the sole means of providing immediate emergent information to the entire Rota community at any given time, via live local radio and TV.
