Lieutenant Colonel Brad Seehawer
Commander, 725th Air Mobility Squadron
Lieutenant Colonel Brad Seehawer is the Commander, 725th Air Mobility Squadron, Naval Station Rota, Spain. The squadron executes all en route maintenance, and command and control functions supporting the United States Transportation Command's Defense Transportation System. The 725th Air Mobility Squadron generates, launches, and recovers mobility aircraft and manages Air Mobility Command missions transiting Naval Station Rota. Additionally, the squadron oversees and provides functional expertise and technical support to Air Mobility Command geographically separated units at Moron Air Base, Spain
Lt Col. Seehawer entered the Air Force in May 2008 through the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. He was selected to become a KC-135 navigator and was assigned to the 349th Air Refueling Squadron at McConnell AFB, Kansas. Lt Col. Seehawer’s extensive time at McConnell allowed him to serve in numerous roles across the wing, such as 22nd Maintenance Squadron Flight Commander; 22nd Operations Group Chief Navigator and Chief of Special Operations Air Refueling; and Chief of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing Commander’s Action Group.
Lt Col. Seehawer is a graduate of Phoenix Mobility, Air Mobility Command’s expeditionary mobility operations and professional development program. During the program the colonel gained experience in the Global Air Mobility Support System and Contingency Response operations while assigned to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Additionally, he was a Command inspector, evaluating unit effectiveness and operational readiness for the Air Mobility Command Office of the Inspector General. Prior to his current position the colonel was the Operations Officer, 321st Air Mobility Operations Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, California.
Lt Col. Seehawer is a certified Green Belt practitioner, Master Resilience Trainer, and Emotional Intelligence coach. He is a senior navigator with more than 1,900 hours in the KC-135R and KC-135T and flew more than 130 combat missions in Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and INHERENT RESOLVE.
