Officer in Charge

LCDR Liles was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon.  He arrived at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes on August 2nd 2002.  He received his initial training as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) from NATTC Pensacola in 2002 and was assigned to I Level Maintenance.  He completed his enlisted tours at AIMD Oceana Sea-OPTDET, USS Nimitz (CVN-68), and Fleet Readiness Center West Lemoore. In 2012, he received his commission at Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island.  

  At Sea, he served as VFA-146 (Blue Diamonds) Material Control Officer (MCO), Aircraft Division Officer, and Quality Assurance Officer (QAO); VAQ-142 (Grey Wolves) Quality Assurance Officer (QAO), Maintenance Material Control Officer (MMCO), and Assistant Maintenance officer (AMO); VP-40 (Fighting Marlins) Assistant Maintenance officer (AMO).  

  Liles’ Shore tours include serving as VFA-101 (Grim Reapers) Assistant Manpower Manager; Fleet Readiness Center Northwest 600 Division Officer and Maintenance Department Head; Electronic Attack Wing Pacific Expeditionary Readiness Officer and Assistant Expeditionary Operations Officer. 

  His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and numerous unit awards. He has earned his Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer Warfare Qualification and is entitled to wear the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist insignia.
