Navy Exchange

Navy Exchange Facilities and Services

Facilities are located on both NAS I and NAS II. Space and economic constraints prohibit the duplication of all merchandise and services at each location. Included among the facilities are a 22,000 square foot Main Store, a Mini-Mall, Navy Lodge, Auto Port, Laundromat, Subway sandwich shop, Italian coffee bars, Burger king, and a wood burning pizza outlet among others. The NEX also operates two very popular video rental stores and two Personalized Services Outlets.


Main Store

The Main Exchange carries family clothing, shoes, domestic items and luggage. Popular gift items include Lladro figurines, Capodimonte, and Port Merion. European and domestic fragrances, cosmetics, and jewelry are also carried. NEXCARD new accounts services are available at customer service.

Cash Cage

The cashier's cage, located in the Main Store offers NEX gift certificates and American Express traveler's checks; personal and military check cashing service and NEXCARD payments. Your Italian electricity and telephone bills may also be paid there for a small fee. The cash cage also offers a Euro exchange on an "as available" basis.

Seven-Day Store

Is located on NAS II. The "mini-mart" offers small appliances, household supplies, beverages, snack items, and chilled food. Personal health and beauty aids, greeting cards, stationery, and discounted magazines are also available. (Rationed items including cigarettes, wine, and spirits are also available at these outlets.) The NAS II location contains the local uniform shop.

Sight 'N Sound

NEX offers the highest quality in personal electronics, video and audio equipment. This store is the place to go to find great deals on cameras, film, stereos and the latest CDs and video games. Don't miss the computer section featuring the best in computer hardware and software.

Bookstore

Featuring the best magazines, books and newspapers -- from science fiction to do-it-yourself guides, the bookstore remains one of the more popular outlets. With everyday low prices featuring 0 percent off of all magazines and 25 percent off of bestsellers, the prices are hard to beat.

Home Center

The place to go to furnish your home. In addition to everything from Dining and Living room items, garden supplies, patio and outdoor accessories are also featured. Don't miss the toy sections for the kids featuring old favorites and the hottest action figures. Every Christmas, the store is decked out as Toyland and hosts a visit from Santa Claus.

Mini Mall

Positioned conveniently in the center of NAS I, the mall contains, Sight 'N Sound (audio/video store), the bookstore, commercial laundry/dry cleaning, optical shop, Personalized Services Center, Navy Federal Credit Union automated teller machine (ATM), Italian coffee bar, Food Court, BANCOMAT ATM that disperses euro, and many other conveniences.

Nex Auto Port

The auto port and auto hobby shop are located on NAS II and includes duty mechanics and auto accessories to keep your car running smoothly.
