When you arrive at Camp Lemonnier, you will see and hear the vibrant operational tempo that exists here day and night. It is common to walk around base and see a wide array of uniforms from around the world, including many African militaries.

The Camp staff is comprised of approximately 300 U.S. Navy Sailors and civilians supporting more than 4,000 U.S., joint and allied forces military and civilian personnel and U.S. Department of Defense contractors. Additionally, the base provides employment for approximately 100 local and third country nation workers. 

We provide a range of common support functions to 27 tenant commands including: Command and Staff, operations, air operations, port operations, operational support, facilities management, public safety, facility support, food services, medical and dental services, fitness and recreational programs and facilities, lodging, logistics and Fleet and Family readiness.
