Following flight training and designation as a Naval Aviator in December 2001, he received initial training in the MH-53E at Airborne Mine Countermeasures Weapon Systems Training School (AWSTS), Norfolk, Va.

    Commander Jimmy A. Harmon is a San Diego native, originally born in the Philippines. He enlisted in the Navy in 1996. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Political Science while earning his commission. CDR Harmon also holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Technology from the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey, CA.

    CMDCM Critides hails from Connecticut. After graduating, he enlisted in the Navy in August 2001 and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL. Upon completion of boot camp, he attended Operations Specialist "A" School at Fleet Combat Training Center Atlantic in Virginia Beach, VA. He is a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course.
