The mission of Naval Station Rota Fire and Emergency Services is to deliver effective fire prevention, safety education and emergency response to sustain the Fleet, enable the Fighter, and support the Family.

Services Provided

Administration
Provides strategic oversight, resource allocation, and policy governance to ensure seamless installation compliance and organizational readiness. By managing budgets, capital, and host-nation agreements, Administration establishes the operational foundation that enables the agency to protect those who defend America.

Operations
Delivers rapid, high-performance, all-hazards emergency response across the installation, airfield, and shipboard domain to protect life, incident stabilization, property, and national defense assets. Driven by continuous quality improvement and rigorous response benchmarks, Operations maintains constant tactical readiness to mitigate any crisis when called.

Training
Engineers a culture of clinical and tactical mastery by aligning agency requirements with National Registry, DoD, and CFAI standards. Through rigorous instruction, planning and multi-agency exercises, Training ensures every agency member is brilliant on the basics and fully prepared to operate at the peak of their professional capacity.

Prevention
Drives proactive community risk reduction through comprehensive engineering compliance, routine facility inspections, and strict enforcement of fire safety codes. By identifying and eliminating hazards before an incident occurs, Fire Prevention directly mitigates risk to personnel, infrastructure, and mission-critical Navy assets.

Public Education
Empowers the NAVSTA Rota community through actionable safety programs and seasonal risk campaigns that turn service members and families into vital immediate responders. This proactive engagement builds an integrated chain of survival and fosters a strong, safety-conscious partnership across the entire installation.
