Command Senior Chief Jorge Banuelos-Gonzalez is a native of Canoga Park, California. He enlisted in the United States Navy in August 2002 and attended Storekeeper (SK) “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi.
He is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 271, Orange) and is currently completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
His sea duty assignments and responsibilities include service aboard the USS Detroit (AOE-4) as an Inventory Supervisor; the USS Bataan (LHD-5) as the Command Expediter; the USS Normandy (CG-60) as a Financial Specialist; and the USS Jason Dunham (DDG-109) as the S-1 Leading Petty Officer. He has also served at Naval Special Warfare Logistics Support Unit One as the Operations Department Senior Enlisted Adviser, SEAL Team Five as the N4 Leading Chief Petty Officer, and SEAL Team Seven as the Senior Enlisted Adviser. He has completed six deployments to the FIFTH and SIXTH Fleets, including CENTCOM.
His shore duty assignments include NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk as Depot Level Repairable Manager; NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella as Fuels and Hazmat Leading Chief Petty Officer; and Commander Fleet Air Sigonella Detachment AIMD as the Senior Enlisted Leader. He is currently serving onboard Naval Support Facility Redzikowo, Poland, as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
His personal awards and decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (8 awards), the COMNAVSUP Logistics Excellence Readiness Award (2 awards), the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various campaign and unit awards. He is qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and Expeditionary Warfare Specialist.
