CDR Justin Jennings, of Kailua, Hawaii, is a 2003 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
He completed flight training and was assigned to VP-47, where he qualified as Instructor Tactical Coordinator, served as NFO Training Officer and deployed in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom to the C5F and C7F AORs.
CDR Jennings qualified as an FRS Instructor and Orion Weapons and Tactics Instructor while assigned to VP-30 and the Maritime Patrol Weapons School. He then completed a Training Officer tour while assigned to VP-4 and deployed to the C7F and C6F AORs.
He then completed his Department Head tour with VP-47 where he served as Detachment Officer-In-Charge and Operations Officer, deployed to the C7F AOR, and subsequently led the squadron through a Permanent Duty Station change and airframe transition from P-3C to P-8A.
His shore tours include Tactical Operations Center OIC, Commander Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing TWO; Theater ASW and Special Projects Department Head, Commander, Task Force 67; Force Safety Officer, Naval Forces Central Command.
He has accumulated over 2,600 flying hours in the P-3C Orion and P-8A Poseidon. His personal decorations include various Navy, Campaign, and Unit awards.
CDR Jennings is married to the former Jodi Clark of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. They reside in Rota, Spain with their son Jake and daughter Jill.
