Captain Teague J. Suarez is the proud son of a Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer. He is a 1998 graduate of the Naval Academy, and holds a masters degree from the Air Command and Staff College. He was designated a Naval Aviator in 2000.
His aviation assignments include the HSL-51 Warlords, where he completed two deployments in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM; HSL-40, where he served as an instructor pilot and the CNAL Search and Rescue Evaluator; and HSL-42, where he deployed as an Officer in Charge aboard USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58). CAPT Suarez had the honor of serving as the Commanding Officer of the HSM-37 Easyriders.
Ashore CAPT Suarez served a year in Iraq as part of the Multi-National Security Corps – Iraq; as an action officer on the Joint Staff, J-35, Reconnaissance Operations Division; and as the Executive Assistant for the Director, Air Warfare (OPNAV N98). Afloat he served aboard USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) as the Navigator, completing a 10-month deployment to the THIRD, FIFTH, SIXTH, and SEVENTH Fleet Areas of Operations.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), the Air Medal (2nd Strike/Flight), and various campaign and unit awards.
