Command Senior Chief Wendell Harrison

A native of Port Arthur, Texas, Command Senior Chief Harrison enlisted in the Navy on January 19, 2000. He graduated Seamanship ATD in Chicago Illinois. Attended both the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 249 Grey) and the Chief of the Boat / Command Master Chief Course.

Command Senior Chief Harrison reported to USS Constellation (CV 64) in August of 2000 to Deck Department serving onboard for three years he was advanced to BM3 an earned his SW/AW pins while onboard. He served aboard the USS The Sullivan’s (DDG 68) from 2003-2005 as a BM3, successfully completing Mediterranean deployment and advanced to BM2.Taking his talents to Sasebo, Japan onboard the USS Safeguard (ARS 50) from 2005-2006.  His tours include USS Tortuga (LSD 46) Sasebo, Japan from 2006-2007, Guantanamo bay, Cuba as Lead Coxswain and Detainee Operator from 2007-2008, USS Boxer (LHD 4) San Diego, CA from 2009-2012 where he was command advanced to BM1, MSRON/CORIVRON Three from 2012-2015, there he earned his EXW and SCI and was selected to BMC 2014, serving as Weapons LCPO and Team 3 LCPO. DLCPO/SEA on board USS Sirocco home ported in Bahrain from 2015-2016,  Sigonella, Italy serving as Port OPS Liaison Officer and Division Officer from 2016-2019. Yokosuka, Japan onboard USS Chancellorsville/ Robert Smalls ( CG62) from 2020-2023 served as Deck LCPO, ER LCPO and was advanced to Boatswain Mate Senior Chief,  DLCPO for Rigging shop Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard from 2023-2024, where he served inside the Dive Locker as Team 5 LCPO as well, he was then selected for CMDCS/CMC program.    

Command Senior Chief Harrison is entitled to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare Aviation Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare devices and the Small Craft Insignia, the Navy Commendation Medal (Five Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Four Awards), and various campaign, service and unit awards.
