Commander Michael Mosi, a native of Cheverly, MD, enlisted in the United States Navy as an Ocean Systems Technician, Analyst in December 1992 under the Delayed Entry Program. In 2001, he was commissioned through the NROTC program at the University of Florida where he earned his undergraduate degree. Mosi is also a graduate of Webster University (Master of Business Administration), and the University of Foreign Military & Cultural Studies (Red Team Member). Mosi received his Wings of Gold in May 2003.
Mosi’s operational tours were served at Naval Facility Brawdy, Wales; Patrol Squadron FIVE (VP-5), Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL; USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN 69), Naval Station Norfolk, VA; and Patrol Squadron FOUR SEVEN (VP-47), Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, HI.
His shore tours were served at Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Force Fifth Fleet Detachment, Naval Support Activity Bahrain; Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, KS; and at Naval Personnel Command and Naval Support Activity Mid-South, Millington, TN.
Mosi served as the Executive Officer of Naval Support Activity Mid-South, Millington, TN, from November 2017 through September 2020. He is currently the Executive Officer at Naval Support Activity Souda Bay in Crete, Greece.
Mosi has deployed five times and participated in several Operations to include Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2), Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy Achievement Medal (2), the Good Conduct Medal and various campaign, unit and individual awards. He is married with four daughters.
