Master Chief Rodriguez, a native of Lares, Puerto Rico, joined the Navy’s Delayed Entry Program and reported for basic training in January 1996. He attended Basic Training in Great Lakes, Illinois followed by Aviation Machinist Mate “A” School in Millington, Tennessee.
Master Chief Rodriguez previous duty stations include: Sea Control Squadron THIRTY TWO (VS-32); Naval Technical Training Unit (CNATTU) Coronado, California; Sea Control Squadron THIRTY FIVE (VS-35); Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO THREE (VFA-103); Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRC MIDLANT), Virginia Beach, VA; Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO FIVE (VFA-105); Strike Fighter Squadron ELEVEN (VFA-11); Command Master Chief to Cooperative Security Location (CSL) Comalapa, El Salvador; Helicopter Mine Countermeasures FOURTEEN (HM14); Carrier Air Wing SEVEN and is currently the Command Master Chief for Naval Station Rota, Spain.
Master Chief Rodriguez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy, (Gold, 198) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 162). In addition to qualifying as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Information Dominance Warfare Specialist, he is also a qualified Master Training Specialist. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (five awards) and various campaign and unit decorations.
