CMDCM Gary Rosenbaum

Master Chief Petty Officer Gary Rosenbaum was born in Salem, Indiana and was raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  He entered the Navy in March 1996 at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes and attended Aerographer’s Mate “A” School in Biloxi, Mississippi.

His military and civilian education include:  Aerographer’s Mate “A” and “C” Schools and naval leadership courses. He’s a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 161 Blue), the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class #136).  He earned a bachelor’s degree in Natural Science and Mathematics from Thomas Edison State College.

Previous duty stations include USS Belleau Wood (LHA-3) in Sasebo, Japan; Naval European Meteorology and Oceanography Facility in Naples, Italy; Naval Atlantic Meteorology and Oceanography Center in Norfolk, VA; Strike Group Oceanography Team, Norfolk, VA; Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Little Creek, VA; and Fleet Weather Center, San Diego.

His deployments and forward experience include USS Harry S Truman (CVN-75), USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70), USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7), Amphibious Construction Battalion Two, and NRV Sirena (NATO Research Vessel). Master Chief Rosenbaum served as the Command Master Chief onboard the USS Carney DDG 64, Naval Station Rota and CTF 65.

Master Chief Rosenbaum’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Navy Commendation Medals (6 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (6 awards), and various, campaign and unit awards.
