Commander Tristan Oliveria

Commander Tristan V. Oliveria immigrated to San Francisco, CA from the Philippines and enlisted in the Navy in 1993 as an Electronics Technician.

His operational sea tours include USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG 57) as a radar technician and USS INGRAHAM (FFG 61) for his division officer tours. He served as the Operations Officer onboard USS RENTZ (FFG 46) and USS ANTIETAM (CG 54), Strike Officer for Commander Carrier Strike Group NINE embarked onboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), and the Damage Control Assistant onboard USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) forward deployed in Yokosuka, Japan.

His shore tours include Naval Forces Europe/Africa, SIXTH Fleet as the Lead Exercise Planner and Fleet Scheduler, as well as a Special Assistant to the Commander at Allied Joint Forces Command Naples, Italy. His most recent tour was the Director of Damage Control and Firefighting at the Surface Warfare Schools Command. Since reporting in July 2021, Commander Tristan V. Oliveria serves as the Executive Officer for Naval Support Facility Deveselu, Romania.

He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2001 and earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Oceanography. He earned a Masters of Science Degree in Systems Engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA in 2006.
