CMDCM Jonathan Fields

Command Master Chief Fields hails from Redding, California, enlisting in the Navy in August 1998. He attended Recruit Training at Great Lakes, IL with immediate follow on orders to Operations Specialist “A” School in Dam Neck, Virginia.

Master Chief Fields' first shipboard tour was onboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) homeported in Everett, Washington. During this tour he was selected to attend Air Intercept Control School in San Diego, California.

After completing his first sea tour he reported for duty at Joint Mobile Ashore Terminal Detachment Sigonella, Sicily as a Global Command and Control Systems Operator.

He then reported for duty in Range Schedules Whidbey Island, Washington. His second shipboard tour was onboard USS MOMSEN (DDG-92) in Everett, Washington where he was selected for promotion to and initiated as a Chief Petty Officer and subsequently qualified as an Officer of the Deck Underway. He then reported to Carrier Strike Group ELEVEN in Everett, Washington where he was selected for Master Chief and Command Master Chief. He attended the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 180 Gold) and Command Masters Chief/Chief of the Boat Course in Newport, Rhode Island. From 2016 through 2019, Master Chief Fields served with the “Oldest and the Best” of VP-46. Master Chief Fields served as the Command Master Chief for Naval Station Everett from 2019 through 2021. Master Chief Fields reported to Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy in June of 2021 and currently serves as the Installation Command Master Chief.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and numerous unit awards and campaign medals.
