A nonprofit association dedicated to rescuing and facilitating the adoption of stray cats, in collaboration with the Municipality of Catania, is seeking volunteer help. The organization provides care for approximately 300 cats in a historic villa from the 19th century. The dedicated women who run the shelter need assistance for a special cleanup effort. This will involve removing overgrown vegetation and dry brush to prevent potential fire hazards and create a safer, cleaner environment for the cats. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to meet and potentially adopt the rescued cats, giving them a chance at a new home. The organizers will provide volunteers with tools for the cleanup and refreshments.
